CRISTINA TERENTIEV

Born in Chisinau, Moldova, Cristina trained at the Choreographic School of Chisinau.

After dancing with The National Opera and Ballet of Moldova as a principal dancer, she joined the Atlantic Ballet Theater of Canada as a principal dancer in 2003. She went back to The National Opera and Ballet of Moldova always as a principal dancer and tours internationally with The Moscow Ballet RFB. Her repertory includes lead roles in Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Chopiniana, The Wayward daughter, Cipollino. Cristina won the 2007 Grand Prix at the international competition of ballet artists in Vienna, Austria 2008.
In 2008 in the 23rd International Classic Ballet Contest of Varna, she obtains:
• Gold Medal, 1st prize in the competition;
• Award for the best original contemporary choreography by Radu Poklitaru;
• The Special Prize of the Jury;
• “Sansha”Award, sponsor.

She toured internationally with The Moscow Ballet RFB and, moreover, has performed in Europe, Canada and USA.
